I have started a new string, and maybe this one will be noticed as well. The fact remains: The Land Is Unceded: That the Land and the Person's and the People have been contaminated.

Nothing is happening around here. Not one phone call from the Point Douglas Resident's council. Nothing. The Newpapers were never dropped off by the delivery person's of the Times Weeklies. I smell collusion.....contempt and corporate buggery....GhostChild.

Though I know the Papers will not be dropped off, I am still going to go on as if the Paper's will be dropped off...Why? False Hope of Higher moral and ethical standard's that should exist due to Moral Christian Policy Instructions that were inside the CorporateBox, that apparently no longer apply, have base or meaning....

I wonder who the true Metis are? and whether or not they still care about this land under my feet here where the Fiction [CANADA] began? Now where are those instructions in Treaty #1....oh that's right it somehow does not matter HOW it all began, but to what Dominion has created it to be?

Point Douglas only matter's when it is time for EnfranchisementVote to roll around again...you see...a thought occures to me....Why would Alien Colonial Subordinate Officer's require a ?DEMOCRATIC?VOTE when the Jurisdiction was Fraudulantly stolen in the first place? Curious.....GhostChild.

I'm not sure what to say at this point. I do know that we must not give up....that's what they are hoping for is for us to shut up and go away.

I don't think we should give up hope in cleaning this mess up just yet.

How long has it been now since the story? a month? Nothing came from the Nothingness all around here. The Social Worker has filled out the paperwork to transfer us through the housingcorp. God I hate this place, Creator of All ThingsGood, I need a Vacation, all this waiting around for nothing to happen:poverty is hard work!

Contamination confirmed at Barber House site
But that doesn’t mean it’s time to panic: City

Test results for a patch of land in North Point Douglas have come back positive for lead and other heavy metal contaminants.
But a spokesperson for the City said that doesn’t mean residents should pack up and move.
“It’s not time to panic,” said Ray Klassen, spokesperson for the planning and property department.
The Phase II test results of the environmental assessment being done at the Barber House historical site confirm higher than recommended concentrations of lead and other heavy metals.
But Klassen said it appears the contamination did not come as a result of something in or around the site itself.
“The contamination appears to have resulted from extraneous fill brought in from another location, and it does show lead contamination.”
Klassen said the contamination does not continue down to the natural grade level of the soil at the site.
Klassen would not say where the extraneous fill had been transported from, nor would he talk about possible next steps except to say the City is in talks with the Province to consider their options.
He did say, however, that the City is fully committed to finding an economically viable solution to allow a proposed project on the site to go ahead.
Last year, SISTARS Community Economic Development Inc. released an ambitious $3.2-million plan to rehabilitate the historic Barber House site, the first house built in Winnipeg.
Plans call for the restoration of the house, along with adding a day care, laundromat, learning centre, small cafe and other amenities.
The house was restored about 15 years ago, only to be gutted in an arson.
The project was put on hold after preliminary environmental testing showed levels of lead, zinc and copper in the ground exceeded commercial and residential human health contact standards.
After the initial story ran in The Times, current and former area residents came forward about finding chunks of lead in their property and speculated that old foundries in the area may have contaminated all of North Point Douglas.
But Klassen said the testing at the Barber House site has nothing to do with other areas of the neighbourhood, and said if further contamination is found on other sites, that is the responsibility of the Province, not the City.
A spokesperson from Manitoba Conservation was not available before press deadline.
Klassen said he expects to speak with the group in the next few weeks, once the details have been decided on.
Olive Wreggitt, chair of the SISTARS project, refused to comment.

You will remember or you can look back to see my sharing about the wonderful old coule who have lived across the street for the last 49 years?

While I shared also that Art has just survived bone cancer, lung cancer, and has made a great recovery, I have more news to do with his wife Marg.

You'll remember Marg has been donating clothing for my family now for five years. She comes by with vegitables she grows in her garden, treats for the girls, and encouraging words for me, or just an ear and don't give up!

Well, another test has struck, and Marg is presently in the psyc. ward at a local hospital here in Winnipeg, waiting to be transfered to a nursing home, as last thursday she lost her memory, and lost herself to her husband, unable to remember who she was, everything.

Marg if you are out there Spiritually, know that your family is there beside you, and we look across the street and wonder when you will come by next. We miss you. The street feels different.

I will leave a note on the door of their house, and ask their children to have FULL HEAVY METAL TESTING, so that Marg and Art tax investment locally for 49 years, did not go in vain.

My basement recieved a Christian introvention last night!

Thank you Hands Of Hope for taking the lead in making my condemable housing house safer and cleaner, wow!

It is true, Charles came by yesterday afternoon, remembering my plight here, and offered to bring a couple people to start load the water damaged clothing and boxes out of the basement. He showed up a few hours later, with 8 volinteer's, and in a couple hours: all the mess was cleaned up!

They even took the garbage with them! So the girls and I began the washing of the floor, and then bucket after bucket cleaned the floor! There was some black mold on the floor, but we put some house cleaner on it and then sraped with a shovel.

The dust was unforgivable, so we opened the all the windows for a couple of hours, and of course, the house got really cold!

But we slept better, took some alergy med's and the swelling on my face should begin to go down soon.
